A lens like it's from 1961! So this is a new version of the first Leica Summilux-M 35mm F1.4 lens in terms of optics and appearance. The original lens is a super expensive collector's item today and the reason for this is a very interesting design.

At full aperture, the image is dreamy, with a certain glow. This is almost impossible to do with post-processing or diffusion filters. And when dimmed, the drawing becomes salon-worthy and sharp like a modern Leica. The same duality as in the 2022 Summilux, but much more pronounced. So it's almost two lenses in one.

For someone used to DSLRs, the Summilux 35mm F1.4 is surprisingly small considering its light output. Despite its size, the mechanical quality is impressive, the focusing is responsive and the focus tab helps you focus very quickly. The aperture adjustment is also clock-like accurate.
