After seven years, Leica has released a new version of its Sofort instant camera! The stylish camera can still use Leica's paper type for both black and white and color photos, and the camera also supports Fujifilm's Instax Mini paper. The Sofort 2 is no longer just an instant camera, but a versatile tool for creative and fun photography and printing:
The Sofort 2 has many of the same features as the Fujifilm Instax Evo instant camera. Like the Evo, the Leica also has 10 lens effects and 10 film effects. By combining these, you can create 100 different styles for your photos.
A photo taken with an instant camera is printed as a physical paper photo the size of a credit card (46x62mm). It only takes about a minute to develop the photo, and its size means you can keep the photo memory in your wallet.
The instant camera is suitable for almost any situation and activity. Thanks to the wide selection of films, there is a film you like for every celebration and event.
The Leica Sofort 2 is a hybrid camera that, in addition to taking paper photos, allows you to take digital photos that are saved in JPEG format on a microSD memory card or the camera's internal memory (can hold approximately 45 digital photos).
The device has a microSD memory card slot. According to the manufacturer, a 1GB capacity can hold approximately 850 images. The advantage of digital photography is that you can later choose the best images to print as paper images. This saves film paper and money as unsuccessful shots are not printed as paper images.
The Leica Sofort 2 acts as a convenient mobile printer that you can carry around with you, allowing you to print any image on paper. For example, you can take a picture with your phone and print it on film, which will quickly give you a paper image. You can also print images from another Leica camera.
Printing is controlled using the free Leica FOTOS app installed on your smartphone.
