The APO Summicron-M35 /2.0 lens is an important part of Leica's M-system. Many consider the lens' unsurpassed quality and depth of field control to be a must-have lens.

The technical specifications of the Leica Apo Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH lens in brief: 10 lens elements in five groups; three elements have aspherically corrected surfaces (one on each side). Six elements are made of glass with exceptionally low light dispersion (Extra Low Dispersion), which means that chromatic aberration has been almost completely corrected - a feature that is usually rare at this focal length.
APO quality: The superior quality of the apochromatic correction (APO correction) of Leica lenses is also evident in their short focal lengths. It is best seen in images with high contrasts. For example, brightly lit objects against a dark background are reproduced without violet-tinted light distortion.
