The Joby Gorillapod 5K Stand is a sturdy and flexible camera tripod that can support a DSLR camera and optics (max. 5kg). It does not come with a quick release plate, but the camera attaches to the Gorillapod with a standard 1/4" thread.

The Joby Gorillapod differs from a traditional tripod in that you can modify and bend it into different positions and locations thanks to the ball joints. You can bend the tripod around a tree branch, a pole, a fence, the side of a boat or even the roll bar of a racing car. The tripod also stands like a traditional tripod, for example on a table. Thanks to the folding legs, the Gorillapod can be made to stand firmly on uneven surfaces.

The Gorillapod 5K Stand is intended for a system camera with optics, a video camera, and for example any studio equipment that attaches to a 1/4” thread.

The 5K Stand does not come with a quick release plate. There is also a version of the 5K Stand that comes with a ball head with a quick release plate.
