Ilford XP2 is a black and white film that can be developed in the common C-41 color process, which means you can take this film to almost any photography store for development! This means you can get stylish black and white photos effortlessly if you don't want to develop your films yourself.
Thanks to this development method, the film also has other good properties, it withstands overexposure very well. If there is enough light, you will most likely get successful images even if the exposure metering or camera shutter speeds are not the most accurate.
The film is very grainy despite its ISO 400 sensitivity. In addition The film scans well and when digitizing it, you can use effective dust cleaning in the scanner.
We don't really recommend this film for darkroom use, but it can also be used if necessary. Development times are longer due to the type of negative, but by testing you can quickly find the right settings.
