Harman / Ilford Phoenix was a real special at the time of its release, a completely new color film emulsion in 2023. The first version of Phoenix was a rather rough film, meaning it had high contrast, vibrant colors and warm tones, and no attempt had been made to minimize grain.

Now this II version is a little more refined, the feel is the same very film-like warm but the tone is a little more general purpose, i.e. not as strong and according to initial tests the film scans much better.

Like version one, when shooting against backlight and in bright light, there is a halation effect, meaning the bright light seems to spread out slightly.

The cassette has a DX code, but exposure can also be achieved with a sensitivity of 100-400.
