The Fujifilm Fujinon TS-L 2040 offers an impressive 20x magnification, bringing distant objects within touching distance. Normally, this high magnification would definitely require a tripod, but the advanced Techno-Stab image stabilization allows for detailed observation handheld.

This makes the model an excellent choice for applications such as maritime rescue, aircraft spotting, or observing shy animals from long distances.

The heart of the device is its image stabilization system, which corrects movement with a wide correction angle of +-3. Despite the 20x magnification, the binoculars are quite comfortable to view handheld and from a moving surface, such as a car, snowmobile or boat. The field of view is narrower by 3.4 degrees due to the magnification, but the stabilizer also helps keep the subject in the field of view.

To get the most out of the high magnification, the optics must be of high quality: the Fujinon TS-L 20x40 uses ED glass elements to reduce chromatic aberration and improve contrast. This is especially important when you want to distinguish small details from a distance. The eye relief is 15.4 mm, which makes viewing comfortable even with glasses.

TS- X 14x40 which is larger in size, but stable even in storms and floats in water. Also very durable.

TS 12x28 and 16x28 which are incredibly small and light, good for camping.

Now introducing the TS-L 20x40 and 16x40 , which contain the best features of the above but not as good stabilization as the TS-X model.

The binoculars weigh only 853 grams , which is reasonably light for a device of this power class and about 30% less than the TS-X series model. Focusing is done with a center focus wheel (Center Focus), which is fast and intuitive. The device has a close focus distance of 5 meters, so it is also suitable for observing slightly closer objects, such as butterflies or birdhouses. Durability and power management

The binoculars are fully waterproof with an IPX7 rating (can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes), making them a safe choice for boating and rainy days. They are powered by two standard AAA batteries (or Ni-MH batteries), which provide up to 30 hours of use.
