This new X-T30 III is an updated model in all areas: faster subject-detection autofocus, advanced video recording. The shortcomings compared to the big brother X-T5 are the lack of weather protection, lower resolution in the viewfinder, one memory card slot and no image stabilization in the body. And the sensor resolution is lower than the X-T5 and X-T50's monstrous 40 megapixels, but it does offer possibilities for cropping images and large prints. Fuji X-T30 III in photography

The Fuji X-T30 III looks like a classic camera, with a viewfinder in the middle of the camera and good adjustment options directly on the camera. Beneath the surface, you'll find a high-performance 26-megapixel sensor and the same X-Processor 5 processor as in the top-of-the-line Fuji X-T5.

The biggest thing enabled by the new processor is fast autofocus, which has the cool-sounding name Hybrid AF with AI-based subject detection. The camera automatically recognizes if there are faces, eyes, animals, birds, vehicles or insects in the image, and the camera can focus quickly and reliably on the right spot. In addition, when recording videos, you can touch the desired object directly on the screen and the camera will focus, also tracking movement.

What this means in practice: More perfectly focused images of even fast-moving subjects, whether they're children playing or pets or nature scenes.

The speed continues to be quite decent during continuous shooting. The X-T30 can shoot up to 30 frames per second using the electronic shutter (albeit with a 1.25x crop). Without cropping, the shooting speed is 20 frames per second , and with the mechanical shutter it is 8 frames per second . Autofocus works continuously during continuous shooting as well.

With the new processor, the Fuji X-T30 III is capable of video shooting, making it suitable for creators who want to combine photos and videos on the same device.

The video is recorded at a resolution of 6.2K 30P. This 6.2K video is with the so-called Open Gate setting, which means that the entire area of ??the image sensor is used, meaning the image is higher than traditional. Open Gate is a desired feature today for this very reason, it makes it easier to crop vertical videos for social media and then horizontal videos for YouTube, for example, from the same file.

4K 60P video, suitable for stylish slow motion, is recorded with 1.8X cropping, and 4K 30P mode uses the entire horizontal area of ??the sensor.

The Fujifilm X-T30 is equipped with F-Log and F-LOG2 gamma profiles, which give you a smooth image for separate color processing. In practice, the camera records the widest possible range of tones from highlights to shadows, and in video editing you can adjust the colors to exactly the way you want, just like you would with photos. Slow-motion videos are possible in FullHD resolution at 120P frame rate.

The camera includes a microphone jack and a headphone jack, but both require an adapter, which is included with the camera. The microphone jack is smaller than usual at 2.5mm, and audio monitoring with headphones is handled via the USB-C port with an adapter.

Easy to use & acclaimed film simulations

The external features of the X-T30 III are of the usual Fuji quality. It has a traditional camera appearance, which also means easy usability. Exposure compensation, shutter speed adjustment and focus control are all handled directly from the camera, without having to go through menus. Focus points and subjects can be selected directly using the tilting touchscreen or moved with your thumb via the joystick.

Fuji also tends to have decent controls in its cameras for beginners. This, combined with directly selectable subject programs, makes using the camera easy at first, but as your hobby and skills progress, using the camera will not become frustrating, and you can make visual decisions that change the image directly using the adjustment dials.

Now the camera also has its own dial for selecting a film simulation! By turning the dial, you can browse through different simulations and a fun animation appears on the camera screen, showing the selection and the film roll icon. After this, the film simulation is in use and you get a stylishly toned image directly to your memory card, ready to share. 20 acclaimed film simulations are included, including the new Reala Ace.

Film simulations may seem like a gimmick, but they are made with taste, camera performance, and decades of experience. Simulations can also be modified into recipes with your own settings. You may well find options that are perfectly suited to your own shooting, and your images will then be ready to share right away! Of course, the camera also saves RAW files for later image processing.

There's also a built-in flash! This is rarer in modern cameras but is a nice help, for example, in illuminating faces in difficult conditions.
