The Fuji GF 500mm is the longest telephoto lens for Fuji's medium format GFX cameras. And at the same time, this is actually the only such long medium format telephoto lens with autofocus!

The long focal length combined with the medium-sized sensor means a really shallow depth of field and enables sharp framing. The cine equivalent focal length is about 396mm and combined with a new body like the GFX 100 II this also enables fast enough focusing for sports and nature photography of moving creatures. The lens's center of gravity also helps when shooting fast subjects, most of the lens elements are at the back so handheld shooting is more comfortable. The lens's amazing 1.37gkg weight also helps here.

Like telephoto lenses, there are settings for focusing range limits and focus lock buttons that store the focus distance. The closest focusing distance is 2.75m. The Fuji GF 500mm is compatible with the GF 1.4x teleconverter, giving a focal length of 555mm.
