The DJI Mic Mini is the manufacturer's smallest wireless microphone to date. It shares many of the same features as the previously released DJI Mic 2 system, but it has been stripped of a few features designed for more demanding use, such as 32-bit audio and internal recording. However, it is significantly smaller and lighter, and the battery life is up to twice as good.
The transmitter's microphone is omnidirectional, meaning you can record background sounds or conversations between several people, such as an interview. It can be attached directly to the performers with either a clip or a magnet. The transmitter can be connected to Osmo Action 4 and 5 and Pocket 3 cameras or to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
The dual-level noise cancellation feature reduces unwanted background noise and interference from your audio. The basic level is great for quieter indoor environments, while the stronger level significantly reduces background noise in louder environments.
The battery lasts for about 11 hours of use. DJI Mic Mini also records a safety track in the background at a -6dB setting if you wish, so sudden loud noises don't ruin the final result.
