DJI Matrice 4 is the manufacturer's latest professional drone series. Now with even better cameras, up to 49 minutes of flight time and better flight characteristics. RTK module built-in. Choose from the series Matrice 4E for mapping or the 4T with thermal imaging for rescue operations and various applications in the energy sector, for example.
The DJI Matrice 4 series drones use advanced artificial intelligence for flight control. The aircraft is able to identify different objects and track them independently. The drones are equipped with advanced obstacle and environment recognition based on laser technology.
The Matrice 4T with thermal imaging camera is suitable for a variety of applications including:
The package includes DJI Care Enterprise Plus 12-month coverage, which can be extended later for an additional fee.
A quad-camera system with laser rangefinder gives the Matrice 4T exceptional performance. The system consists of a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, 48-megapixel mid-telephoto and standard telephoto cameras, and infrared thermal lenses.
In addition to daytime drone operations, the cameras' large apertures, full-color night vision, and obstacle detection capabilities make the Matrice 4T an ideal solution for low-light and nighttime flying.
The Matrice 4T is equipped with a 612x540 thermal camera that detects heat signatures from -20 to 550 degrees Celsius. An additional NIR light improves the thermal camera's performance when flying in low light and darkness.
The laser rangefinder, familiar from DJI's more robust drones, has now been brought to the Matrice 4 series. In good conditions, the measurement range is up to 1.8 kilometers and the rangefinder is an excellent tool for calculating distances between the drone and objects. Distant objects can be measured using the point measurement or line-like drawing tool.
The DJI Matrice 4's four intelligent flight modes are designed to make flying easier in all conditions.
Cruise mode makes flying longer distances easier. Like cruise control, it allows the drone to fly forward without the pilot having to make any steering movements on the controller.
In Fly To mode, the Matrice 4T automatically determines a flight path and speed to seek a pre-determined destination.
In Smart Track mode, the drone can be configured to follow a target so that the drone takes care of precise tracking and automatic zooming. With artificial intelligence-assisted tracking, tracking of the target can be resumed even if it briefly disappears from view, e.g. into vegetation.
In POI mode, the user can select a point of interest around which the Matrice 4T will fly. The drone can optionally generate a 3D model of the object's surroundings while observing it.
In search and rescue missions, you can't choose the time, and the drone must be able to fly at all times of the day. That's why the Matrice 4 series has a dedicated Night Scene mode, where the camera with an IR Cut filter offers full-color night vision in three modes and two levels of noise reduction.
The Matrice 4T takes the view even further with its infrared camera and NIR assist light.
During dark flight, the drone's six sensors enable, among other things, automatic obstacle avoidance, intelligent rerouting, and safe return home.
The RTK module provides centimeter-accurate positioning information from your drone when needed, allowing you to operate safely in areas where GNSS signals are otherwise weak. The integrated RTK module supports the extended L5 frequency band, which works with GNSS and DJI's Vision Fusion positioning and navigation system.
DJI Enterprise series drones feature Local Data Mode, where collected data can be cleared with the press of a button. Data encryption during transmission is provided using AES-256 video transmission encryption and Cloud API.
The updated DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller is equipped with an even brighter display, which ensures clear visibility even in strong sunlight. The controller has an IP54 rating and operates in temperatures from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius. The controller operates with the new O4 transmission protocol. The controller now also has programmable keys. The controller supports SDR and 4G hybrid transmission.
The DJI Matrice 4 Thermal differs from the previous Mavic 3 Thermal in the following ways:
DJI's new O4 transmission protocol enables the Matrice 4 to fly over 15 kilometers. However, as a pilot and operator, please note Finnish drone legislation regarding VLOS (visual line of sight) and BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) flight rules.
