DJI's original set of four ND filters for the DJI Air 3S drone.
To ensure that the video image is smooth to the eye, the shutter speed should be 2x the framerate used in the video recording. In other words, if you are shooting at 25fps, the shutter speed should be 1/50, and if you are shooting at 50fps, the shutter speed should be 1/100, and for 120fps, 1/240.
ND filters help you achieve the shutter speed required for video shooting in different lighting conditions and avoid jerky or horizontal noise in the image caused by high shutter speeds.
ND8 lets 1/8 of the incoming light through and is suitable for sunny weather.
ND32 lets 1/32 of the incoming light through and is suitable for really bright weather, for example snowy Lapland on a sunny day.
ND128 lets 1/128 of the incoming light through and is suitable for long exposures, for example in partly cloudy weather.
The set does not include ND16 and ND64 filters, but by adjusting the ISO value of the drone camera, the same effect can be achieved. Setting the ISO value to 200 and using an ND32 filter will give the same effect as an ND16 filter. An ND128 filter at 200 ISO is equivalent to an ND64 filter.
