The Byomic BYO-500T is a high-quality stereo microscope for study and professional use, equipped with a Siedentopf-type trinocular head and Plan achromatic objectives.
The DIN standard objectives (4x, 10x, 40x and 100x oil) and the microscope's two 10x eyepieces achieve a magnification of 40x to 1000x. Since the 100x objective is also suitable for immersion in oil, these higher magnifications can also be achieved with the microscope.
Type: trinocular microscope
Suitable for: study use, professional use
What can you see with this? A microscope is suitable for examining cells, tissues, bacteria, parasites, blood and minerals, for example. In addition, the sample can be any sample that can be seen through light.
A feature of the Siedentopf head is that the interpupillary distance of the microscope can be adjusted without affecting the focus. This is possible because the eyepieces can be moved up and down in a circular motion, whereas in other microscopes the eyepieces are moved apart from each other.
The interpupillary distance is adjusted simply by turning the eyepiece tubes around the central axis. This allows the interpupillary distance to be changed without changing the length of the tubes, which in turn affects the focus. The axis also has a distance scale so you know which position is right for you.
The metal-framed BYO-500T has a 140x105mm mechanical sample stage that allows you to move the sample without touching it. The height of the stage can also be adjusted.
On the right side of the body is a dual-action focus mechanism, which means that there are two focus screws to adjust the focus. The larger focus screw is used for coarse (and fast) focus and the smaller focus screw is used for fine-tuning the focus.
The BYO500T microscope's two wide-angle eyepieces provide a large field of view and excellent depth of field. DIN achromatic lenses ensure minimal color
In addition to the eyepieces, the device has a tripod tube, which can be used to connect a system camera using the separately purchased Byomic DSLR adapter and camera-specific T2 ring. You can record images or video while observing the specimen with your own eyes.
The eyepieces have a 45-degree viewing angle, allowing you to use the microscope in a relaxed position. The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 54 and 75 mm, and the diopters of both eyepieces can also be adjusted to give you a clear view of your specimen.
The microscope is equipped with a single LED light on the bottom. This LED is adjustable using the rotating wheel on the left side of the microscope. There is an Abbe condenser under the stage to ensure that the light is distributed as efficiently and evenly as possible on the object for the best results.
The Abbe condenser has a filter holder that can hold the blue filter that comes with the microscope. The Abbe condenser has a slide at the bottom that can be used to increase or decrease the aperture to determine the amount of light that passes through. The height of the Abbe condenser can be adjusted using the rotating wheel on the left side. for illumination, the brightness of which can also be changed using the wheel on the front. This ensures that the sample always has the right amount of light.
