The Brinno TLC2020 is a TimeLapse or interval camera that shoots FullHD quality video and offers up to 80 days of battery life.
Brinno is one of the most popular cameras for TimeLapse photography. Brinno works as a so-called construction site camera, allowing you to effortlessly shoot interval videos of construction/renovation projects. The camera is suitable for contractors, gardeners or even architects for filming long-term projects. Of course, the device is suitable for filming sunsets, northern lights, etc., and for nature lovers for recording natural events.
The Brinno TLC2020 dash cam records a finished video from the still images it takes in FullHD 1920x1080 resolution. The camera automatically stitches the images together, so there is no need for manual stitching or other post-processing.
Key features
Although the Brinno's image quality is not up to par with a DSLR, Brinno offers many other advantages. The Brinno camera is designed for shooting long-term projects. The battery life is in a completely different class than, for example, a smartphone or action camera. The manufacturer promises that the Brinno's battery life will last up to 40 days (at a 5s shooting frequency). In addition to the fact that Brinno excels in battery life, Brinno also has the advantage of being easy. While the post-processing of a Time-Lapse shot with a smartphone must be done manually, Brinno does everything automatically, meaning Brinno makes a fully finished video from the images it takes.
+ Battery life is sufficient for long-lasting projects
+ No manual post-processing required, the video is automatically created
+ Camera designed for taking large amounts of images
Timelapse: The camera takes a picture at a certain interval. You can set the picture taking interval from 1s to 24h. When you stop recording, the camera automatically compiles the pictures into a video. Suitable for example for shooting sunsets, construction projects, etc.
Step Video: The camera records a video clip of a set length at specific intervals. For example, a 3-second video clip every 5 seconds. Finally, the camera automatically compiles these clips into one video file.
Stop Motion: A shooting mode for making puppet animations or even Lego/wax animations. The image is taken manually, and the camera automatically assembles the video.

Brinno is powered by four AA batteries, which can store up to 240,000 photos, depending on the settings. The files are stored on a microSD memory card, from which the files can be easily transferred to the computer. The maximum capacity of the memory card is 128GB. For example, the included 8GB memory card can hold approximately 35,000 photos in the best quality when the shooting frequency is 5s.
The shooting frequency, or image capture interval, is possible from 1 sec to 24 h, so the device works for recording both faster and less frequent events. A longer time interval is suitable for monitoring natural objects, for example, you can film the growth of plants. A more frequent time interval is excellent when filming a construction site or other event where a lot is happening.
