Julkaistu 13.10.2020 (Päivitetty 13.01.2025)
Which Instax camera is the easiest to use? And what about the most versatile? All Instax cameras compared. Find the instant camera that's right for you.

Instant cameras are a great way to enjoy photography at its purest, without having to worry about settings and exposure. In a world full of advanced technology, it feels refreshing to just press a button and within seconds the output is in your hands as a real paper photo.

1. Point
2. Trigger
3. Enjoy the paper picture

Instant cameras don't offer the same quality as SLRs or compact cameras, but these cameras are a great way to capture moments and situations.

Grandparents feel at home when they receive a real paper photo right after the photo is taken - it can be a memory of a grandchild's visit or even a group photo with the graduate at a graduation party. A Polaroid camera is especially suitable for children's birthday parties, when you can give the guest a souvenir to take home. Or for weddings, where you can use an instant camera to take pictures of the party guests and add them to the guest book, or alternatively, give the camera to the guests to use, which gives you great memories of the party from the guests' perspective.

If you are looking for an instant camera, but are not sure which option would be right for you, here is a short walkthrough in the form of an article.

Easy-to-use Instax cameras for the whole family

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 and 11 , as well as the Instax Square SQ1 and Instax Mini 40 cameras, are really approachable cameras. They are suitable as family cameras, travel cameras for young people or, for example, for weddings. The biggest advantage of these models is the fun and ease of shooting with the camera.

Despite the plastic construction, the cameras feel comfortable in the hand. Large buttons and a wide range of colors offer visually appealing and simple device options for even young users.

Instant cameras with slightly more extensive features

When you want a little more control over your photography, the Instax Mini 70 and Instax Square SQ6 analog instant cameras are the ones to choose from. Although the cameras are a bit more versatile, they offer the familiar Instax style of fun, ease, and straightforwardness of photography.

In addition to basic functions, these cameras have several shooting modes, such as macro and landscape modes, a self-timer, a foot switch, and an automatic camera that senses the shooting environment and does not fire the flash if there is enough light.

The most versatile cameras in the Instax series

The most versatile instant camera in the Instax family, the Instax Mini 90 offers versatile features for shooting, while being as easy to use and reliable as any Instax camera for basic shooting.

This camera is designed for photographers who want to take control of their shots. For example, you can turn off the flash when you don't want it to fire or fix the exposure. The camera comes with a rechargeable NP-45 battery, so you don't have to fiddle with batteries. A full charge will shoot for about 10 packs of film.

Hybrid cameras, i.e. camera with mobile printer

Hybrid cameras are versatile and cost-effective camera options. These cameras allow you to take digital photos in addition to paper photos, which are saved in JPEG format on a microSD memory card or the camera's internal memory. The advantage of digital photography is that you can later choose the best photos to print as Instax paper photos. This saves film paper and money as unsuccessful shots are not printed as paper photos.

The hybrid camera also includes a mobile printer feature, meaning you can print any jpg image onto Instax Mini paper.
