An ultra-wide-angle lens for Leica M-mount cameras. We definitely recommend the latest III version, this works better with new digital bodies due to less color shift, includes a filter thread and is optically clearly better than the first version.
This 15mm focal length is already very wide, meaning that you can see mostly the center in the viewfinder, more precise framing is possible with a separate viewfinder or, for example, Leica's electronic viewfinder or on the rear screen. Like viewfinder lenses, this one is also very small and includes a 58mm filter thread. The closest focusing distance is 50cm, which offers quite narrow angles of view.
As with Voigtländer, the focus ring and aperture ring have a very good feel. The lens hood is reasonably sized and firmly integrated into the lens.
