The Tamron 12-20mm f/2.8 is a fast wide-angle zoom for Nikon full-frame cameras. A great choice for landscape or video photography.

The Tamron 12-20mm f/2.8 is a fast wide-angle zoom lens for Nikon full-frame cameras. The wide 12mm angle of view provides an exceptional sense of space and emphasizes the impact of perspective. It enables you to capture dynamic and striking images of both architecture and expansive landscapes.
The 12-20mm F2.8 maintains a bright F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range. Whether you're shooting starry skies, dimly lit interiors, or other challenging subjects, the lens delivers excellent performance in all shooting conditions.
The optical construction is complex by today's standards, with 17 elements in 12 groups and a lot of special lenses to eliminate image errors. The coating used is the BBAR-G2, familiar from Tamron's new lenses, which reduces reflections, meaning that shooting against backlighting is a breeze.
The Tamron 12-20mm focuses very close, at 18cm at the wide-angle setting and 28cm at the 20mm setting. This is not macro, but focusing this close gives you great opportunities for angles. Focusing is handled by Tamron's advanced VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor, which tracks moving subjects reliably, silently and quickly.
Like modern Tamron lenses, this model also features a convenient USB-C port, which allows you to connect the lens to the TAMRON Lens Utility software for iOS, Android, and PC. This allows you to program the functions of the focus setting button and three-position switch on the lens to suit your shooting needs.
This lens does not have a filter thread, but there is a slot in the lens mount for a gelatin filter.
