The Swarovski EL Range TA is a pair of binoculars with Tracking Assistant , which combines a rangefinder and an inclinometer.
The Tracking Assistant feature makes it easy to find a target from where the previous shot was fired. The feature can be used directly through the binoculars, or via a smartphone. The smartphone app allows you to adjust the binoculars to your needs and ballistic data.
In addition to angle, the Swarovski EL Range TA can measure air pressure and temperature, which enables even more accurate shooting, as in addition to the adjusted shooting distance, you also get the number of clicks needed for the scope.
The function of binoculars with a rangefinder is to provide accurate distance measurement and act as a primary optical tool. You no longer need to carry two optics, i.e. binoculars and a rangefinder separately, but get them in the same Swarovski EL Range package. EL Range is suitable for hunters, nature lovers and professional guides for animal identification and distance measurement.
EL Range TA binoculars differences to EL Range binoculars
The binoculars are made of magnesium alloy and have an 'open' body. The binoculars' tubes are connected by a double bridge, whose slender tubes are open in the middle, giving you a good and secure grip. For example, when you are climbing in difficult rocky terrain, you don't want the binoculars hanging from your neck to swing and hit against a rock wall or tree trunk. In this case, the ability to carry the binoculars securely in one hand is a great feature.
Like many other binoculars, Swarovski binoculars are lined with a protective rubber coating that covers almost the entire body of the binoculars. The rubber coating helps protect the optics and allows for a firmer grip, even when the surface of the binoculars is slightly wet.

The Swarovski EL Range 10x42 TA weighs only about 80 grams more than the Swarovski EL 10x42, and in other dimensions the two are quite close to each other. The only noticeable difference is the 'bumps' at the bottom of the binocular tubes, which contain the rangefinder technology. The rangefinder button itself is located on the top of the binoculars, on the side of the rear bridge. The button is well placed for the index finger.
The laser function in Swarovski's EL Range TA binoculars is different from that of competitors' models. First, the aiming circle and the range reading are displayed on different tubes of the binoculars - a red LED aiming circle in the right eye and the range reading in the left. Due to this operation, the binoculars have diopter adjustment in both eyepieces, allowing you to adjust both eyes so that both the ring and the reading are accurate. The rangefinder also takes into account the shooting angle and calculates the shooting distance correctly (this function can be turned off if desired).
Powered by a CR2 battery, the laser rangefinder can measure distances from 10 meters to 2000 meters, with a measurement accuracy of +/- 1 meter. Inside the left tube of the binoculars, just below the focus ring, there is a mode button that allows you to browse the settings menu.
The settings menu allows you to adjust, for example, the brightness level, which is really useful in situations where the sunlight is at its strongest and the background you are looking at is light. Another example is if at dusk or in otherwise low light the rangefinder LED is too bright, it can irritate your eyes and impair your night vision in the long run.
The focus wheel is a good size and fits comfortably under the index fingers. The EL Range TA 10x42's focus has a good feel and smooth movement. The closest focus distance is 5 meters. To focus from 10 meters to infinity, you need about 100 degrees of rotation of the focus wheel.

Swarovski EL Range TA binoculars come with a carrying strap, carrying case, battery, battery cover opener, lens cleaning cloth, front lens caps and eyepiece caps.
10 year optical warranty.
