The Sirui R-series, also known as the Reporter series, is designed for studio or filming locations. All R-series tripods are made of 10x carbon fiber. The R-series tripods are particularly comfortable to handle and stay firmly in place. An integrated spirit level is included, which makes it easy to set the tripod accurately level, and the center tube has a simple “wing nut” that allows you to adjust the height of the center tube even with gloves on.

The legs of the tripod are attached directly to the hub, where the camera is also attached. This design provides the best center of gravity for stability. The four-section legs lock into three different angles and the length is locked with thread locks. The hub has a 3/8" thread that attaches to most camera heads. The threaded base plate can be removed, allowing the flat locking base to be replaced with a 75mm ball for SIRUI video heads. The tripod comes with a 75mm bowl mount.
