The image stabilization is effective by six stops at the wide end and 4.5 stops at the telephoto end, helping to achieve sharp images at longer focal lengths and in lower light.

The lens's 1:2 70mm magnification ratio allows you to take detailed close-ups of plants and insects, for example. The lens is weather and dust-proof.
