The Rode NTG-2 is a high-quality yet affordable shotgun microphone for professional audio and video production. This metal-shell condenser microphone operates on a single AA battery or alternatively on +48v phantom power.

The NTG2's high sensitivity, featuring a supercardioid pattern, delivers a powerful output level, eliminating the need to set the amplifier or camera to extreme gain levels, while also keeping noise levels under control.

Acoustically, the NTG2 produces a smooth, clear sound, thanks in part to its gentle rise in high frequencies and a selectable low-pass filter that suppresses rumble. The durable and lightweight high-quality aluminum housing is finished with a durable epoxy paint. As a traditional shotgun, the NTG2 can be conveniently attached to a boom, tripod, or directly to a camera.
