The Pulsar Alaris XQ30 Pro is an ultra-compact and feather-light pocket-sized thermal imager designed specifically for birdwatchers, bird ringers, wildlife photographers and researchers. This tiny device weighs just 300 grams and fits easily in a jacket pocket, making it the perfect companion for long exploration trips. In complete darkness, fog or dense vegetation, the Alaris XQ30 Pro helps you locate and identify those masters of camouflage that are almost impossible to spot with the naked eye – such as woodpeckers and grasshoppers hiding in tall grass or swamps.

The device features a sensitive 384x288 pixel thermal imaging sensor with a large 17 µm pixel size and exceptionally low sNETD <20 mK thermal sensitivity. Compared to the previous XM30F model, the larger sensor produces a significantly clearer, higher contrast and more detailed image. Thanks to the high-quality and precise F30 / 1.2 optics, a standard 1.8 meter high target can be distinguished in pitch darkness from a distance of up to 850 meters.

Optimized magnification and eight color palettes

The device's 2x basic magnification provides a wide and sufficient image area for following fast-moving events, searching for animals and counting antlers from short and medium distances. For identifying objects at a distance, the magnification can be increased digitally up to 4x (2...8x zoom). Observation is facilitated by eight selectable color palettes, including hot white, hot black and hot red to emphasize movement, while monochrome red, sepia and violet prevent eye fatigue during long-term night observations. The Alaris XQ30 Pro is built for continuous and rugged field use. Its robust magnesium alloy body protects the sensitive thermal imager from shocks, drops, moisture and extreme temperatures (-25°C to +40°C). The metal body also acts as an effective heat sink, removing waste heat generated by the device’s internal components, reducing image noise and keeping the video signal stable during long viewing sessions. A full IPX7 waterproof rating ensures that the device will function flawlessly in heavy rain, snowstorms and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Low power consumption and flexible APS3 battery system

Thanks to the camera’s low power consumption, the quick-change and rechargeable APS3 battery provides up to 7-8 hours of continuous use on a single charge. Removing an empty battery and inserting a new one takes just a few seconds in the field. The battery can be charged either in a separate APS charger or directly in the camera by connecting the device to a power bank, AC adapter or computer via the USB-C connector. With a built-in video recorder and 16GB of internal memory, you can capture hours of video (.mp4) and thousands of photos (.jpg) of your rare wildlife sightings with a single press of the REC button.
