The Portkeys LH5C is a great value 5.4-inch camera monitor that combines a precise touchscreen, a bright 800 nit panel and extensive wired camera control. Despite its slim ABS and polycarbonate construction, the monitor is durable and weighs only 178 grams, so it feels like a natural extension of the camera body without unnecessary extra weight. The monitor is equipped with HDMI input and output, versatile shooting tools and 3D LUT support.

The rear of the device houses an integrated Sony NP-F compatible battery plate. Thanks to the ultra-low 7.5W power consumption, even a small NP-F550 battery can power the monitor for almost three hours. In addition, a USB-C port (5V) on the right side of the device allows for flexible additional power supply, for example from a power bank or an external battery for a camera rig.

With a dedicated CAMERA REMOTE connector and included control cables, you can control key settings for compatible cameras (including Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Z CAM and Blackmagic Design) directly from the monitor's touchscreen. You can adjust settings such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance on the fly. Touch Focus is also available for selected camera models, and for Sony users, the device offers a new Focus Tracking autofocus screen that allows you to track and move the focus point directly from the screen.

• Freeze Frame Comparison: You can save a snapshot of the video signal to the included USB stick and compare it directly to the live image – a perfect tool for stop-motion filming or continuity tracking, for example.
