• 8.5x21 binoculars , if your primary viewing target is, for example, birds, and secondary viewing targets (e.g. flowers and butterflies)
• We recommend 6.5x21 binoculars if your primary viewing target is close-up objects, such as flowers and butterflies, and your secondary desire is to watch birds.
  

The moderate 8.5x magnification also allows for a wide field of view. These binoculars are comfortable to observe objects for long periods of time.
