Pentax's 21mm focal length lens is suitable for all photography, in addition to traditional uses such as architecture and landscape photography. Designed for full-frame bodies, it can also be used on APS-C bodies, giving an angle of view equivalent to a 31.5mm focal length.

The lens is made of four ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and one Super ED element, which together ensure sharp images and reduce chromatic aberrations. The HD lens coating significantly reduces reflections, ghosting and annoying flare effects when shooting in demanding conditions. The SP coating on the front lens makes cleaning easier.

The lens' Quick-Shift Focus System feature allows you to quickly switch between autofocus and manual focus. QFS/A is an autofocus mode where you can fine-tune the focus using the focus ring.
