The Pentax HD D FA 85mm F/1.4 ED SDM AW is a weather-sealed and versatile short telephoto lens designed for full-frame cameras. It can also be used on APS-C bodies, providing a field of view equivalent to a 130mm focal length.

The lens is made of several ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and aspherical elements, which together ensure sharp images and reduce chromatic aberrations. The coatings significantly reduce reflections, ghosting and annoying flare effects when shooting in demanding conditions. The lens is equipped with an SDM (Supersonic Direct-drive Motor) focusing motor, which makes focusing fast and silent.

Note: This lens has a KAF4 mount with electronic aperture control.
