Pentax FA SMC 50mm F/1.4 Classic

This lens goes beyond the surface with retro! The optical structure is similar to the lens Pentax released 50 years ago, meaning the image is more traditional, more classic, as the name suggests.

A special feature of the lens is the colorful reflection, or so-called rainbow flare, where when shooting against backlight at full aperture, reflection patterns in different colors are created. The effect is subdued but distinctive, as this effect does not occur when the lens is stopped down above aperture F€. This is at its greatest in certain light and on a full-frame camera.

The lens comes with an ND filter that can be used to optimize the effect.

The Pentax FA 50mm F1.4 includes an aperture ring, so this works well with older Pentax bodies, but of course includes autofocus. In other respects, this is also a good basic Pentax, F1.4 aperture, easy-to-clean coating on the outer lens surfaces.
