The Peak Design Anchor Mount is a "quick plate" / mounting plate that is installed on the bottom of the camera. The purpose of the plate is to allow you to attach a camera strap to the bottom of the camera, allowing the camera to hang on your waist with the lens pointing downwards. This brings stability and comfort to carrying the camera, especially when the camera has a long lens attached.

Made from anodized aluminum, the Anchor mount is extremely durable and slim. Its small size does not obstruct access to the battery compartment or prevent the swivel rear display from moving.
