NiSi Pro Nano Huc IR ND1000 ND filter

A neutral density (ND) filter reduces the amount of light entering the lens. ND1000 is equivalent to ten (10) stops.

• Silky Water Effects: Transforms flowing rivers, waterfalls, and ocean waves into a soft, ethereal mist.
• Cloud Motion: Records the movement of clouds over several seconds, creating dramatic streaks in the sky.
• Removing crowds: Because the shutter stays open for so long, moving people or cars disappear from the image, leaving only the stationary architecture behind.
• Shooting in bright daylight: Allows you to use large apertures (such as f/1.8 or f/2.8) in bright sunlight, resulting in a shallow depth of field. Otherwise, the image would be overexposed and completely white.
• In time-lapse photography: The filter slightly softens each image you take, and when the images are combined, the edges of each image naturally blend into the next, just like we perceive motion in real life.

Usually, there is a shortage of light in photography, but sometimes there can be too much. In bright sunlight, using a large aperture can be impossible without an ND filter. A neutral density filter is also needed when you want to photograph, for example, flowing water in bright weather and with a really long exposure time.

This filter also features IR filtering to reduce color distortion caused by infrared rays. The nano-coating repels dirt and water and makes cleaning easier.

The aluminum ring is only 3.5mm, so vignetting is minimal even with ultra-wide-angle lenses.
