NiSi Black Mist 1/2 diffusion filter

This filter softens highlights to a dreamy effect. The effect is clear yet elegant at 1/2 strength, making it suitable for a variety of uses.

The filter is part of Nisin's Cinema series and is particularly suitable for video productions. The contrast is evened out and the highlights are softened, giving the image a cinematic feel. Especially when shooting against backlight, it gives the soft feel of a vintage lens, but retains an undistorted image and some of the sharpness.

The body is made of brass, which is the best material for filters, it does not get stuck in the filter threads. It is also easy to screw into place. The slim design reduces vignetting with wide-angle lenses.
