The NANLUX Evoke 150C 2-Light Kit is a pre-equipped set of two compact LED spots for studio and field photography. The lights do not have a separate external power unit, but the electronics are integrated directly into the light body. This makes the set up quick and easy, and eliminates the need to deal with extra cables or power supplies lying around on the shooting location. The entire set is protected in a hard carrying case with wheels.
The luminaire uses an eight-chip Nebula C8 light engine that combines deep red, red, yellow, lime, green, cyan, blue and indigo light sources. The multi-spectral design ensures a smooth color spectrum without spectral gaps, and the color temperature can be adjusted over a very wide range from 1000 Kelvin to 20,000 Kelvin. The green/magenta fine adjustment (±200) makes it easy to match the light to other light sources already on the shooting location or window light. The luminaire's magnesium alloy body weighs only 2.11 kg, so it does not burden even light stands. The IP66 enclosure rating ensures that the luminaire can withstand dust and direct pouring rain without separate rain covers.
The Evoke 150C operates on mains power or one 14.4V–28V V-Mount battery per light. Battery operation provides full light output, making it easier to work in places where mains power is not available. The light intensity is smoothly adjusted from 0.0% to 100.0%. For low-light shooting, the power can be adjusted very finely with an accuracy of 0.1%, so the light does not jump too bright at once. The mounting bracket has a one-sided lock and a mechanical angle indicator, which makes it faster to align the light and repeat the desired angle.
The light utilizes FE and FM accessory mounts. The electronic contacts on the FM mount recognize the attached light modifier and adjust the light's operation to suit the modifier. The kit includes a glass-lens FL-12 Fresnel lens with crop flap and a fast Rapid 60 softbox. The cooling system has five selectable fan modes (Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, Pause and Off). The fan can be turned off completely for interviews requiring recording or set to full power for long studio shoots to prevent overheating.
The luminaire supports professional-level light control both wirelessly and via cable:
