The Manfrotto 6'' End Vice Jaw Clamp is a so-called cardellini pipe clamp, which allows you to attach lights to tubular structures such as trusses. The clamp has a 5/8" or 16mm lamp mount. The clamp itself can withstand a load of about 50kg. Of course, you should take into account the durability of the pole or pipe to which it is attached.

The maximum diameter/thickness for the attachment point is 152mm, and at its thinnest the clamp will grip a pipe about 15mm thick. The jaws have a rubber coating that improves grip and protects the surface to which the clamp is attached.
