The 008BU is Manfrotto's sturdy 15kg Heavy Duty Stand for heavy loads, booms or large softboxes, for example. When fully extended, the stand can support a weight of 3kg, so even then the load capacity is sufficient for larger light modifiers or lights.

There is also a steel version of the 008 stand with a load capacity of 30kg ( 008CSU ).

One of the legs of the light stand has a so-called leveling leg, meaning that the length of the leg can be changed, making the stand stable even on uneven surfaces or terrain.

The 008 BU tripod has a standard 5/8" (16mm) studio spigot with a 3/8" male thread at the top. It is also possible to attach almost any 5/8" (16mm) spigot part to the top of the tripod according to your needs, as well as the more robust Cine spigots (28mm)

Wheels are available as an accessory for this tripod (compatible wheels Manfrotto 109, 110, 110G).
