Kodak's slower Portra is a very neutral and sharp color negative film. The contrast or color saturation is controlled and realistic. Portra 160 reproduces skin tones very naturally.
Portra 160 is based on the technology of Kodak's Vision 3 motion picture films, so this film does not need to be overexposed to get beautiful tones. The exposure margin of this film material is not as large as Portra 400, so if you are looking for the most natural reproduction possible, it is not worth overexposing or underexposing when shooting.
