The Hoya ProND-100000 is an extremely dark ND filter designed specifically for photographing the sun or solar eclipses. It reduces the amount of light reaching the sensor by as much as 16.6 f-stops (transmission rate is only 0.001%), allowing the use of larger apertures or longer exposure times in these exceptionally bright conditions.

Hoya's advanced vapor-deposition coating ensures completely neutral color reproduction without disturbing color distortions and makes the coating very even. The filter's optical glass is mounted in a durable, yet lightweight aluminum frame. Attention! This filter is designed for photography only. It is not suitable for viewing the sun with the naked eye or through a camera's optical viewfinder.
