HERO is GoPro's smallest 4K action camera. Compared to the HERO 12, it's 44% lighter and a third smaller in size. The camera's controls have been simplified and it includes three different shooting modes: 4K and 1080P video, 2x slow motion and 12 megapixel photos. The battery is fixed, so it can't be replaced.
If a replaceable battery, in-camera image stabilization, and better video quality are important features, you should consider the GoPro Hero 12 and 13 models.
LCD screen: The back of the camera has a touchscreen for adjusting settings, changing shooting modes, and checking image framing.
4K Resolution: Shoot 4K video in 16:9 aspect ratio and a wide 165-degree field of view. Plus, you can capture 12-megapixel photos and 8-megapixel stills from video using the GoPro Quik phone app.
HyperSmooth with the GoPro Quik phone app: The GoPro Quik phone app automatically makes your footage smooth with HyperSmooth stabilization, no matter what activity you're filming.
Voice control: Attach the camera to a harness or helmet, for example, and shoot POV videos hands-free using voice control. Includes eight different commands.
Quick and easy editing: Edit videos on your phone with the GoPro Quik app. Make edits to highlights created by the app or edit your videos from scratch. For example, you can zoom, crop, or add filters to your videos.
The sales package does not include a memory card. We recommend Sandisk Extreme Pro A2 microSD cards for use with the Gopro Hero. These have sufficient speed and reliability, in our experience, are excellent.
