The Godox SL300R is a powerful and versatile RGB video light designed for content creation, live streaming, and studio photography. This light offers full color spectrum control in addition to traditional white light, allowing you to create creative atmospheres without the need for separate color filters.

The luminaire's color temperature is adjustable over an exceptionally wide range of 2500 K to 10,000 K, so the light adapts seamlessly to both warm incandescent light and cool daylight. Color reproduction is reliable, with an average CRI of 95 and TLCI of 96. HSI, RGBW, and GEL modes give the user access to a 360-degree color spectrum and 60 preset color film simulations.
Which one should you choose: SL300R RGB or SL300III Bi-Color?
Godox offers two parallel models, the main difference being the color of the light. The SL300R (RGB) is designed for creative work: it can produce millions of different colors (red, blue, green, etc.), making it an excellent choice for music videos, coloring streaming backgrounds, or creating cinematic atmospheres. It also has a wider white light adjustment range (2500-10,000 K), allowing for very warm or cool tones.
The SL300III Bi-Color, on the other hand, produces only white light (warm/cool adjustment 2800–6500 K). It is often a more cost-effective choice for photographers who mainly do personal interviews or product photography and do not need color effects or DMX control. If your needs are purely high-quality basic light without color gimmicks, the Bi-Color model may be sufficient and also offers more light output, but the SL300R offers significantly more flexibility for creative needs.
The SL300R produces a maximum of 43,300 lux (at 1 meter with the included reflector, 4300K). The light brightness can be adjusted continuously from 0 to 100%. The light is equipped with a Bowens S-mount, which makes it compatible with almost all softboxes and light modifiers on the market.
For sound-sensitive situations, such as interviews, the light has a mute mode that turns off the fan to eliminate distracting noise. For creative video use, the device has 14 built-in effects, such as party, flash, and candlelight.
The lighting control is flexible: settings can be changed directly from the device, with a DMX512 console, with an optional remote control, or conveniently with a smartphone via the Godox Light app (Bluetooth).
