The Godox QTII series is designed for photographers who demand speed from their flash. The sturdy aluminum-shelled QTII series features HSS, the fastest charging time and flash time. In addition, the studio flash has a Mask function and MultiFlash support. The QTII series is available in 400Ws, 600Ws and 1200Ws.
Godox QT400II has a power of 400Ws. The flash power is adjustable from 1/1 - 1/128 and there are 50 steps in the adjustment range. In addition, the flash has a 150W modeling light, the power of which can also be adjusted.
The mains-powered Godox QT400 II is a manual flash unit, so there is no TTL here, but the QTII series is designed to shoot at high speeds for very short exposures - whether it's a fast shutter speed or a very short flash duration. While the HSS offered by the QT400 II may not always be necessary in the studio, HSS is helpful when you want to freeze the motion of fast-moving subjects, such as dancers or objects flying through the air.
One target group of the QT series is also product photographers as it includes a mask function. The Mask Function is used in product photography, where you usually want to mask out the background. The main lights are placed in one group and the background lights in another group, which gives you a lit image of the product and a white background/black silhouette image, which makes masking possible.
The Godox QT400IIM flash has a built-in 2.4G radio, which allows for remote flash control and the use of Godox battery devices in the same flash set. This means you can combine the QTII series with, for example, the battery-powered Godox AD series, or the mains-powered QSII, DPII and SKII for the same shoot.
The QTII supports Godox X1T, X2T and XPro 2.4Ghz triggers. In addition, the flash's USB port also allows the use of older triggers.
In addition to the optional trigger, the QT400II studio flash settings are controlled from the rear panel of the flash and displayed on the easy-to-read LCD screen. The QT400 has several flash modes - ideal for most shooting situations, Stable Color Mode prioritizes accurate 5600K color reproduction. High Speed Mode favors short flash times for freezing fast motion, whether it's sports or freezing water droplets and splashes in the studio.
The device has a Bowens mount, meaning a wide range of light modifiers are available for the flash.
