Two cameras and wider shooting possibilities

In addition to the main camera, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P features a true optical 3x telephoto lens. The main camera is a wide-angle camera with a large 1-inch sensor, while the telephoto camera uses a 1/1.28" CMOS sensor.

The telephoto lens makes the device much better suited for shooting distant subjects than an action camera, for example. The manufacturer's 3x optical zoom or 12x digital zoom allows you to get close to the subject, and the effect of the mechanical gimbal is especially noticeable when zoomed in, which keeps the image steady.

Professional-grade picture quality and sound in a small package

The Pocket 4P has taken a step towards more professional video production. The camera's sensor offers a dynamic range of 17 stops, meaning it can capture detail in high-contrast situations, such as bright backlighting. Professional use is served by 10-bit D-Log 2 and D-Log recording modes, which allow for recording a wide tonal range and provide plenty of control for post-processing and color grading.

Thanks to the built-in memory, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is ready to shoot right out of the box, the colors can be adjusted to suit, and quick editing will give you a modern and good-looking video.

The new ActiveTrack 8.0 tracking and fast autofocus keep moving subjects in focus. There's also been a focus on sound: a built-in quad-channel microphone reduces wind noise, and the device supports wireless OsmoAudio microphones directly without separate receivers. The 2" swivel screen is now brighter, making it easier to use in sunny weather. Vertical video for Tiktok? By rotating the screen, the gimbal quickly rotates the camera to vertical shooting.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 vs. mobile phone and other cameras

While modern high-end phones are good at video recording, the Pocket 4P's large 1" sensor and mechanical stabilization offer significant advantages. The 17-stop dynamic range is also a feature that most phones don't achieve.

Compared to action cameras, the Pocket 4 offers better image quality and smoother movement, but it is not shockproof or directly waterproof without a separate protective case. Compared to system cameras, it is significantly lighter and easier to use, but its 20mm main camera or 60mm telephoto lens does not offer a long optical zoom for shooting distant subjects. But otherwise it is a very handy all-rounder.
