DJI O4 Air Unit – Digital Video Link for Modern FPV Construction
The DJI O4 Air Unit is a digital video transmitter and camera system weighing only 8.2 grams, designed to be mounted on self-assembled drones or any device from which you want to send an image signal to FPV goggles, providing a precise and real-time view directly to the video goggles.
This standard version (Lite) of the O4 Air Unit includes a camera module and one antenna, and is so compact in size that it fits even small 2-inch drone bodies.
Equipped with a 1/2-inch image sensor, the DJI O4 Air Unit series is capable of recording 4K/60fps video. The image sent to the video goggles is in 1080p resolution and supports a refresh rate of up to 100 fps, ensuring a very smooth and lag-free control feel. No matter how fast you fly, the camera view stays with you.
What does the O4 Air Unit enable?
- Accurate snapshot: High resolution and low latency allow you to fly safely in tight spaces, such as between trees or indoors.
- Kills two birds with one stone: The system transmits images to the glasses and simultaneously records high-quality 4K video to the device's internal memory. This often eliminates the need for a separate and heavy action camera on the drone.
- Extended range: O4 technology's improved signal strength allows for exploration further afield or behind structures without pixelation or image interruptions.
- Customization: Due to its small size, the module fits almost all hobby builds, from small "cinewhoops" to large long-range drones.
Device compatibility
The DJI O4 Air Unit is designed to work with DJI Goggles Integra, Goggles 2, Goggles 3, Goggles N3 glasses and the DJI FPV Remote Controller 3.
Supported flight control system: Betaflight 4.3.0 and later versions
