Matte boxes for video shooting

A mattebox is a great tool for professional video shooting. Matte boxes often come with a compendi lens hood and an adjustable visor that makes it easy to block stray light at different focal lengths.

Often, the matte box is attached to a camera frame on rails or directly to the lens. Depending on the model, the matte box also allows the use of plate filters.
