The Zoom L-8 is a digital mixer and audio recorder in one device - all you need is microphones and headphones, such as the Zoom ZDM-1 set.

The L-8 is designed as an easy-to-use and portable sound desk for musicians, podcasters, and anyone else who works with sound.

The mixer has 6 microphone preamps with phantom power and 4 headphone jacks with separately adjustable volume. In addition, it has an XLR connection for active speakers, for example. The headphone jacks allow for sound monitoring already during the recording phase.

The included TRRS cable allows you to connect your smartphone to the L-8 recorder, for example, and include audio from your phone in your recording. This is handy when conducting remote interviews, for example.

Recordings can be saved either to an SD card or to a computer via a USB cable. You can also record to both at the same time. In addition, the USB connection allows the L-8 to be used as a computer sound card.

The sound pad buttons on the device enable sound effects with 13 preset sounds. It is also possible to program your own recordings and transitions to the buttons.
