This light is really bright! It has 40W of power , which is almost the same as traditional large LED lights, but it fits in your pocket and runs on batteries.

Zhiyun M40 is the same size as most so-called pocket-sized light panels. But the 40W power difference is noticeable when shooting. This easily works as a main light in fast situations. Smart usability also helps in fast situations, now you don't have to open the mobile app and adjust, but the device has clear adjustment wheels for power and light color.

The power and color temperature are marked on the adjustment rollers in a somewhat general way. When using multiple lights, the adjustment must be made somewhat by eye because there is no separate LCD display with precise numbers.

During prolonged use at high power, the internal ventilation is noisy, which is not a problem when taking photos, but this should be taken into account in video if the light is very close to the microphone. However, the fan works smartly as needed, meaning the propeller does not spin unnecessarily or too fast.

At full power, the battery life is about half an hour, and the device dims the brightness slightly in the last minutes. At half power, the battery life is about 55 minutes and at 25% power, about 105 minutes. This can be compared a little because 25% on this Zhiyun M40 is more efficient than most pocket-sized panels, so the battery life is good.
