A practical cleaning pen for cleaning optics. The pen has a very soft brush head that stays neatly hidden under a rubber cap. The pen has a soft brush on one end and a small soft cleaning microfiber cloth on the other end that can be moistened with a drop of lens cleaning fluid if necessary.
Instructions for use:
Slide the brush attachment out using the slide switch on the side of the pen. Use the brush attachment to remove loose dust.
Remove the cap on the other end of the pen. Remove grease, etc. from the lens surface with a special cloth-coated rubbing disc in slow, circular motions. After use, replace the cap and rotate it a full turn so that the cleaning disc is “cleaned” by the cleaning surface inside the cap.
To remove stubborn stains, blow air onto the lens surface, for example using a dedicated air pump, and repeat the process. Blowing with breath air will provide some helpful moisture, but there is a risk of excessive moisture and contamination.
