The Swarovski Optik CL Companion III 10x30 binoculars are compact and lightweight premium binoculars for travel, nature and longer observation sessions. The latest in the series, the 10x30 III model, released in 2026, offers a wide field of view and a relaxed viewing experience, making it ideal for tracking landscapes, animals and moving objects. The ergonomic shape, good eye relief and rotating eyecups make it comfortable to use even with glasses.

The binoculars weigh only 550 grams, making them easy to carry around for all-day use without unnecessary strain. If you wish, you can record your observations on your smartphone using the VPA 2 digiscoping adapter.

What changed in the binoculars?

The previous CL Companion models were a bit slimmer compared to the new model, but the new III model offers a better grip. The new binoculars weigh about 50 grams more than their predecessors, but the binoculars feel more balanced in the hand. Based on the test, the new CL Companion III finds its way into the field of view easier and faster when raised to the eyes, which is of course a positive thing in terms of the viewing experience.

The new CL Companion III 10x30 binoculars now have a field of view of 6.6 degrees, or 115 meters at 1000 meters, compared to 6.2 degrees or 108 meters in previous versions. The binoculars' light transmission has also been improved thanks to newer coating technology.
