Sony E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens (black)

Very compact zoom lens for Sony mirrorless cameras (e.g. NEX series and new Sony A models). The lens is a so-called pancake lens, in transport mode the lens takes up less than three centimeters of space. When the camera is turned on, the lens automatically switches to shooting mode.

Zoom is controlled via a switch on the side or via a multi-function control ring. The control ring can also be used to adjust focus.

The lens has an optical image stabilizer, which is said to have an effect equivalent to about four stops. One of the lens elements is ED glass and four are aspherical, which reduce image distortion.
