SmallRig 6114 Cage is a custom-designed camera cage for Sony Alpha series cameras (including A7R V, A7 IV, A7S III and A1) when equipped with Sony's original VG-C4EM vertical battery grip. The cage offers excellent protection and extremely wide mounting options for accessories, turning the camera into a full-fledged video production tool.

The cage is securely attached to the bottom of the camera with a single 1/4"-20 screw and separate side locks on both sides. This three-point attachment ensures that the camera cannot twist or wobble inside the cage, even when shooting with heavy lenses. Silicone pads on the inside protect the body from scratches. Thanks to the careful design, all buttons, card slots, connections and battery doors on the camera and battery grip remain accessible.

Arca-Swiss and comprehensive mounting options

The cage's base features an integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate, allowing for a quick transition from handheld shooting to an Arca-compatible tripod. The base plate also offers direct native compatibility with DJI RS series gimbals without the need for separate additional plates.

For accessories, the frame has plenty of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, ARRI alignment holes, and two cold shoe mounts for microphones or lighting, for example. The frame has a QD quick release socket for modern shoulder straps, traditional loops for wrist straps, and a magnetically attached double-headed tool for easy installation and removal of the cage.
