PolarPro Insta360 X5 Shutter Collection (ND16, ND32 & ND64) Filter Set

The PolarPro Shutter Collection is a set of six ND gray filters designed for the Insta360 X5 360 camera (the package includes 2 of each strength for both lenses of the camera). The filters replace the camera's original UV protective glass directly without adapters, allowing you to increase shutter speed and capture cinematic smooth motion (180 degree shutter rule) in bright outdoor lighting.

The filters use PolarPro's CinemaSeries™ Hyper Neutral optical glass and IRND technology , ensuring perfect color accuracy without color aberrations and keeping shadow areas deep black. The durable black aluminum body and 16-layer optical coating protect the lenses from scratches, oil, water and reflections.

Why use ND filters in video shooting?

To make your video look natural and smooth, the shutter speed should be about twice the frame rate (fps) you are using. For example, at 25 fps the shutter speed should be 1/50 s and at 50 fps 1/100 s. In bright sunlight, without filters the camera will have to use a shutter speed that is too fast, which makes the movement jerky. With ND filters you cut the amount of light and achieve the desired cinematic look.

Set filters and application areas

• 2 x ND16 (4 stops): Allows 1/16 of the light through. Ideal for partly cloudy weather, shade, and morning and evening light.
• 2 x ND32 (5 stops): Allows 1/32 of the light through. Excellent for bright daylight and normal sunlight.
• 2 x ND64 (6 stops): Allows 1/64 of the light through. Designed for very bright conditions such as snowdrifts, glaciers or water.
