Neoprene LensCoat protects the device

The multi-piece protector is made to fit snugly over the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens. No glue or tape is required to attach them, so the protectors are easy to remove from the device when needed. The side of the protector that faces the lens is rubberized, so the protectors don't slide around and stay firmly in place.

The neoprene material is water-repellent, but it does not make the lens waterproof. The cover does, however, prevent the device from getting wet better than if you were to take photos without a cover.
