A lighter version of Finland's best-selling Laowa lens with automatic aperture control! Perfect for gimbals and drone photography.
The Auto Aperture version of the Laowan 7.5mm f/2 (MFT) lens is made specifically for aerial and gimbal photography. The lens has a microchip and motor that changes the aperture value according to the camera body's functions. The lens weighs 20g less than the standard version, which drone pilots will appreciate.
The Laowa 7.5mm f/2 lens is distortion-corrected, meaning it's not a fisheye! This, combined with the F2 aperture and good image quality, has made the lens a very popular choice for landscape photography, astrophotography, and videography. Thanks to the distortion-free image, architecture and cityscapes can also be captured with ease.
Thanks to the good brightness, night astrophotography is much smarter to do with this than with, for example, a fisheye with a bright F3.5. The quality is better and you can use shorter exposure times or a lower sensitivity setting on the camera.
The lens is manual focus, but due to the very wide angle of view, you only need to touch the focus ring when taking close-ups. The aperture value is also set manually.
The Laowa 7.5mm F2 features two aspherical and three distortion-reducing lens elements. The front element is coated with a dirt and water repellent coating.
Compatible with M43 bodies, meaning it works with dozens of Olympus and Panasonic cameras.
